Fitzgerald House Hospital

Dedicated aged care

Respected as a Christchurch centre of excellent elderly care our friendly team are second to none.  In our sunny, spacious 38 bed hospital our professional team of registered nurses and care staff offer dedicated 24 hour care in either standard or premium rooms with an ensuite.

Care is personal through the development of individual Care Plans created by registered nursing staff on arrival to ensure appropriate continuity of support and treatment. Every resident and their family or whānau have the opportunity to participate in this process.

Physiotherapy

A registered physiotherapist visits each week to help maintain the highest level of mobility for our residents.

Chaplaincy

Our Chaplain, Jill Keir, from Holy Trinity, Avonside is available to all residents and everyone is welcome to our regular church services held in the hospital lounge.

Meals and Snacks

Prepared under contract in our own kitchens, residents are offered two main course choices at lunch and dinner.  Morning and afternoon tea are served daily and everyone is encouraged to meet in the dining room for meals.  Snacks are available on request at any time.  All dietary and textural needs are catered for.
